If I have ever slowly drifted away from you, you should know that you gave me every reason to do so. I was completely aware of every little change you went through, first worrying me, and then breaking me. I was aware of how you suddenly started getting busy, and how you slowly stopped talking to me. I was aware of how you suddenly didn’t feel like talking, but at the same time, you were talking to everyone else. I also noticed how you were ‘feeling lonely because no one cares’ when I was patiently waiting for you to answer my texts and calls. Yet I still stayed because I promised you, I would always be there for you, no matter what.

But once you make it clear that you don’t want me in your life, I’ll let you be, if that makes you feel better. I know I stay longer than I’m supposed to, but once I’m gone, there’s no coming back. But I hope you find the happiness I tried so hard to find for you while losing myself beneath it all.

And now that I’m leaving you, hopefully, I’ll find myself someday, only to lose it for someone like you, all over again.
