Clinical Assessment of SCARF India

Founded in 1984 by Dr. Sarada Menon (India's first woman psychiatrist) and Dr. R. Thara, SCARF is one of the very few institutions in Asia designated as a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Mental Health Research. SCARF combines rigorous genetic and neuro-imaging research with compassionate outpatient clinics, vocational training workshops, and mobile tele-psychiatry units serving rural Tamil Nadu.
